TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PAYMENT:

Lawson’s Training Centre require the full course fee to be paid in advance unless the company/candidate hold an approved credit account. In cases where the fee has not been paid in advance, Lawson’s Training Centre reserves the right to cancel the course booking.

For those holding an approved credit account, payment terms are strictly 30 days.

Any queries to be notified in writing within 7 days.

 

SUBSTITUTIONS, TRANSFERS AND CANCELLATIONS FOR ALL COURSES: (with exception to St Johns, CISRS & CITB HS&E tests/ CPCS renewal tests see below for notice periods)

Lawson’s Training Centre will do their best to accommodate substitutions, transfers and cancellations where sufficient notice is given.

  • Substitutions: at least 5 working days’ notice must be given
  • Transfers: at least 10 working days’ notice must be given
  • Cancellations: at least 15 working days’ notice must be given

 

CISRS & ST JOHNS SUBSTITUTIONS, TRANSFERS AND CANCELLATIONS:

  • Substitutions: at least 5 working days’ notice must be given
  • Transfers: at least 20 working days’ notice must be given
  • Cancellations: at least 25 working days’ notice must be given

 

50% deposit required at time of booking a CISRS course, this is non-refundable.

 

CITB HS&E TEST/ CPCS RENEWAL TEST TRANSFERS AND CANCELLATIONS:

  • 5 working days’ notice must be given to transfer/ cancel a test. After this notice period, you will be charged in full.

 

Substitutions, transfers and cancellations can be discussed by telephone. However, must be confirmed in writing or by email by Lawson’s Training Centre. If sufficient notice is not given, then payment will be charged in full.

Once a course has been transferred to a future date, you are unable to cancel this date. A course can only be transferred once free of charge, if the sufficient notice period is given.

Transfers and substitutions may be subject to an admin fee.

 

GRANT:

It is the customers responsibility to send their Levy number via email at the time of booking.

Lawson’s Training Centre will apply for CITB grant on eligible courses. Please check at the time of booking to ensure the course is eligible for grant, because not all courses are covered.

It is the customers responsibility to check if they receive the grant. If you haven’t received the grant payment, you must notify Lawson’s Training Centre within 5 weeks of the course date.

 

COVID 19:

Should training/tests need to be cancelled or transferred due to COVID-19, Lawson’s Training Centre will work with you to arrange alternative provision.

Lawson’s Training Centre reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the fees to cover our costs. With exemption to the CITB HS&E test/ CPCS renewal test, where cancellations and transfers within 5 working days due to COVID-19 will be charged in full.

 

LATE ARRIVAL:

Lawson’s Training Centre will do their best to accommodate candidates who are slightly late for genuine reasons. However, if in the opinion of the instructor, the candidate has missed a significant portion of the course and will be unable to make this up, they will not be allowed to join the course and cancellation fees may apply.

 

TRAINING PRE-REQUISITES:

Failure of any module of a course or test that is a pre-requisite for subsequent elements will result in part or all the booking being charged. In addition, failure to supply any pre-requisite documents or comply with other requirements at the beginning of the course or test will result in part or all the booking being charged.

 

DELEGATE INFORMATION:

Many of the courses involve practical elements which require the candidate to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE). This PPE must be in a clean and safe working order. Any additional items which are required by the candidate will be detailed on the Joining Instructions.

It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure they are physically fit enough to undergo the training and Lawson’s Training Centre will not accept any responsibility in this regard.

Inexperienced, under qualified, over experienced or overqualified candidates may attend the course but must understand that the benefits gained may be limited and the instructor has no responsibly to change the course content to suit these individual candidates.

Whilst on-site and during the course, candidates are expected to always behave in a professional manner and Lawson’s Training Centre reserve the right to exclude candidates who fail to do so (no refunds will be given, and companies will be charged). Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited on-site and during training, nor should they be consumed prior to training. If there is any evidence of such, instructors will refuse to train the candidate and cancellation charges may apply.

 

DELEGATE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English. As standard, our courses are delivered in English.

Health, Safety and Environmental Tests may be provided in other languages.

COPYRIGHT:

Course material and printed notes will be provided by Lawson’s Training Centre unless specified otherwise. All material provided by Lawson’s Training Centre are subject to copyright. No part of the course or notes may be reproduced or transmitted in any form, or by any means, electronically or mechanically. Recording of the course is strictly prohibited.

 

CANCELLATIONS BY LAWSON’S TRAINING CENTRE:

In the rare event that Lawson’s Training Centre must cancel a course, alternative dates will be offered if possible. However, if alternative dates cannot be offered or are not suitable then Lawson’s Training Centre will refund the booking fee.

 

REFRESHMENTS:

Complimentary tea and coffee are provided at Lawson’s Training Centre. If lunch is included (specified on the Joining Instructions), candidates will be asked to order from a local deli menu on arrival. Lawson’s Training Centre has a small kitchen, containing a microwave, toaster, fridge and vending machine which the candidates can use.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY:

Lawson’s Training Centre may take photographs during courses for advertisement purposes. If the client or candidate does not want to appear in these photographs, then they must state this in writing at the time of booking.

 

CLIENT SUPPLIED VEHICLES/OFF-SITE TRAINING/TESTING:

Any vehicles supplied by the client must be roadworthy, suitable and comply fully with all current Road Traffic Act requirements. It is the client’s responsibility to make sure that the relevant insurance is in place. Lawson’s Training Centre reserves the right to refuse to use a client-supplied vehicle if it does not comply with the above and may, consequently, terminate the training (fees may apply).

 

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:

In any event under no circumstances shall Lawson’s Training Centre be liable in Contract (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), or otherwise for loss (whether direct or indirect) of profits, business, or anticipated savings, or from an indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever.

 

LAW:

The Contract between Lawson’s Training Centre and the company/candidate shall be subject to the Law of England, and The English Courts shall determine any dispute that may arise.

 

Once a booking has been confirmed, all customers have agreed to adhere to Lawson’s Training Centre Ltd Terms and Conditions, without exception.
